ILL INSANITY ft. ROB SWIFT, MR. SINSTA
(Premiere Artist Group) NYC
What do DJs Rob Swift, Precision, and Total Eclipse have in common? The letter X… as in X-ecutioners! Now, a decade since the conception of the worlds most accomplished DJ crew, these three champions of an art called “Turntablism” are beginning a new chapter in their careers. Their emphasis is to start from scratch (pun intended) and break down all limitations. “We’re training our minds to forget and abandon everything we’ve learned about DJing to this point” according to Rob Swift. Total Eclipse adds “When we get together to create routines, we start from nothing and see where the vibe in the room takes us.” Precision caps it off by saying “The long hours we dedicate to practice usually leads to some real crazy routines.” Thus, the inspiration to call the themselves ILL INSANITY.

AFROBETA *LIVE*
(DO IT MUSIC) MIAMI, FL

Between 2006 and 2008, they continued to perform in front of a building fan base, garnering local support from the Miami New Times who named them Best Electronic Band in 2007, Best Local Songwriters in 2008 and Best Band in 2010

SLEEPY & BOO
(BASIC NYC) NYC
Sleepy & Boo play electronic music of all shapes and sizes, rocking rooms big and small across New York City and beyond. They love thick drums, big basslines, hypnotic grooves and tripped-out sci-fi synthesizers. Forget sticking to one genre — in a typical set, they’ll cover everything from lush deepness and funky, stripped-down tracks to pulsating minimal beats and dark, jacked-up electronic elements. Moving beyond a typical DJ performance, the duo perform a unique tag-team set: while one is manning the turntables, the other is adding samples, loops and effects via their KAOSS pad and Electribe sampler. The result is a crowd-energizing performance that always keeps the dancefloor moving.

NIGEL RICHARDS
(611 RECORDS) PHILLY
Nigel Richards is one of the most prominent figures in dance music today. Globally recognized as a DJ, producer and entrepreneur behind the seminal Philadelphia based 611Records label and store, his influence can be felt long after the turntables stop spinning. Touring 52 weeks a year for the past 14 years, Richards is considered to be one of the world’s most in-demand DJs. Club and partygoers throughout North America, and as far away as London, Scotland, Germany and Austria have enjoyed his unique style of party rocking. Highly respected in techno for his intensely textual style, Richards has received extensive critical acclaim. He has been named one of the most successful artists in the industry, and one of the hardest working.

DB VS JASON JINX
*OLD SCHOOL NASA SET* (BREAKBEAT SCIENCE) NYC
DB – Arriving in New York from London in ’89, it could be argued that no one has done more for Drum & Bass in America than DB. First with his hardcore Breakbeat club NASA, (featured in the Larry Clark film Kids) then by launching Sm:)e Communications and releasing the first Jungle singles & compilations in the U.S, as well as signing dj Dara, thus kick starting his artist career. He & Dara then opened Breakbeat Science, dedicated to Drum & Bass, It quickly become not only the most respected record store & label, but also the very epicenter of the jungle community in the U.S
JASON JINX -
You can’t make music if you don’t love it. And you can’t make great dance music if you don’t love to dance. Even now, with a well established DJ, production and remix career that keeps Jason Jinx more than busy, you’ll still see him out, taking in new music and working the dance floor just like he would back in the day as a teen. Jinx describes his style as ‘New School Old School’ – employing new production techniques but ‘trying to keep the feeling of the old school house I grew up on and loved – New York, vocal, piano-y house. Although he admits he still loves to ‘bang out tracks’ occasionally – for that certain special energy that can be captured with fewer hours in the studio – Jinx’s focus now is on producing quality vocal house music – great dance floor records. The DJ spirit still thrives too, and he continues to be in demand across the US, Europe and Canada. Whether producing an original track, remixing someone else’s or DJing to a packed floor, Jason Jinx has an instinctive feel for what is fun, and what the dance floor will respond to. It’s that love for music – and for house music in particular that makes his productions work and keeps the faithful returning to the floor.
